Trying to hatch a plan……
I had all intentions of getting into an area and trickling bait in consistently. Due to others having an interest in this particular area the plan really did not go as I had wanted. But it paid off. I will spare you all the detail however…..on a Wednesday night I finally managed to get into a swim I had planned to. A very generous helping of Mainline Link bait deployed and It was sat back with a Big Soup and Crusty Roll.

There was only two other anglers on. Me and Ken Dorsett. One of the other members Adrian had came down to bait up and was nice to have a catch up. The night passed quietly and whilst starting to pack away I started to get indications on my middle rod. I thought this is gonna rattle off in a minute. Well it did. A spirited battle in and out of the weed and I was praying it made it to the net. It did eventually after an unconventional left to right bundle it in job with a ball of weed! 22lbs 8oz Common……that will do. Components used. My rig, Jelly-Wire in 25lb partnered with a Tungsten Aligner. A really long hair and a Wafter hook bait with a small stick mix preventing tangles. Control Mainline in .38 and a size 6 Barbless Super Strong Hook.
